Course Objectives

The course is an introduction to sailing and yachting. The two day course will be held on a yacht and by the end of the course you will have experienced steering a yacht, sail handling, ropework and be aware of safety on board.

9/10/2010 - Saturday: 08:30 - 16:30

10/10/2010 - Sunday: 09:00 - 17:00

Maximum Students per instructor:  8
  • Clothing and equipment, seamanship.
  • Be familiar with the yacht, briefed of all areas, engine room etc.
  • Emergency equipment and precautions
  • Electronic equipment, VHF.
  • Preparation of yacht before leaving the marina.
  • Anchorage, ropework, mooring.
  • Steering, sailing, handle sails.
  • Navigation lights, rules of the road, night sailing.
